Begin With the End in Mind

Before I pick up the camera, we have a plan.

Because the goal isn't just beautiful portraits — it's knowing exactly where they're going to live in your home. A tall narrow wall above your fireplace? We'll create something iconic for that spot. Building a family gallery that weaves older portraits with new ones? Done. No wall space but want to preserve this chapter in a luxurious custom album? We can do that too.

This is what separates a Morley Portraiture session from hoping for the best at a mall studio.

Before We Connect

The clients who get the most out of a Morley Portraiture session are the ones who've thought about it a little beforehand. Things worth considering:

  • Where in your home do you picture these portraits living?

  • Are you drawn to a single statement piece or a gallery wall?

  • Is an heirloom album something that appeals to you?

  • Will the family dog be joining us? (The answer should be yes.)

If you already know you're just looking for digital files, we're probably not the right fit — and that's okay. What we create here is meant to be printed, framed, and lived with.

 Your Portrait Session

Your one job? Show up.

Get them dressed, get them here, and we'll handle absolutely everything else. No rushed timelines, no chaos, no "okay everyone say cheese" energy. We schedule plenty of time to capture everyone at their best — even the ones who swore they didn't want their picture taken.

The goal is that the session itself becomes a memory worth keeping — not just the portraits that come from it.

 VIEW + ORDER

About a week after your session, you'll come back to the studio for the best part — this is where you view and order your portraits.

Everything will be displayed beautifully, scaled to your actual walls using photos of your home so you know exactly how each portrait will look before you commit to a single size. No guessing, no second-guessing.

This appointment is reserved specifically for you, and it's where decisions get made — so we ask that anyone who has a say in the order joins you. When everyone is in the room together, it's a genuinely fun experience.

Come ready to fall in love. We'll handle everything else.

DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

Your finished portraits and albums are ready 4–7 weeks after your order. For larger pieces, we're happy to deliver and install — so you don't have to figure out a single thing.

Then you just stand back and take it all in.

TAKE ALL THE CREDIT

The hard work is over.

Your portraits are on the walls. Your album has pride of place on the coffee table. And your phone keeps buzzing with texts about how amazing your holiday cards are.

Go ahead and take full credit for creating those beautiful humans. You've earned it.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

Here's the thing about kids: they keep growing.

Which means next year they'll look a little different. And the year after that, different again. Our portraits and collections are designed to grow with your home — pieces that look beautiful now and move and expand as your family art collection evolves over time.

It is genuinely one of my favorite things as an artist — watching families come back year after year. New puppies. New milestones. New walls to fill.
